Pankaj received his master’s (M.A.) in Architectural Lighting Design, with honours from Hochschule Wismar, Germany in June, 2014. He obtained his B.Arch. degree from BVBCET, Hubli.

Having gained experiences in various award winning design studios in India and Germany in the field of architecture and lighting design, he has worked on projects that range from product concepts, installations to architectural and urban interventions of various scales. His master thesis, titled “Lighting in Early Childhood Environment” stresses on the importance of qualitative aspects of lighting in architecture.

Pankaj has taught undergraduate students at FOA, Manipal. Since joining RVCA in June, 2016, he has been teaching courses in architecture programme and has been involved in Design Studios and courses of Computer Applications.

As a practicing architect and lighting designer, he works at the intersection of art, architecture and lighting design in projects primarily within residential, offices and commercial sector. His research interests include lighting and place-identity, environmental psychology and emotional durability in design.
