Brinda’s areas of interest include developing visions, policies, urban design plans and growth management strategies for cities and neighbourhoods. This involves analyzing the land use and transportation connection in urban contexts; developing land use zonal regulations and design guidelines; designing transit oriented developments; preparing micro-level strategic action plans; and planning public participation processes.
Brinda offers a course in city planning and conducts design studios and thesis seminars. She has over 20 years of experience working as an architect, urban designer and city planner in the private and public sectors in India and abroad. She holds a Masters Degree in Architecture (Urban Design) from the University of Oregon, USA, and a Diploma in Architecture from the School of Architecture, CEPT, Ahmedabad.
