B.Arch. (NIT, Hamirpur), M.Arch. History, Theory & Criticism (CEPT University, Ahmedabad)
Apoorva Pant has obtained her B.Arch. in 2012 from NIT Hamirpur and M.Arch. in 2016 with specialization in History, Theory and Criticism from CEPT University, Ahmedabad. Her primary interest in research focuses more on architectural history and people’s engagement with built environment. With history as a major course, she has developed skills to construct micro-historical narratives through both primary and secondary sources of information. Based on this, her PG thesis was on ‘Perception study of urban transformation – Shimla’. The study focussed on understanding the peoples’ perception of transformation of a colonial town to a tourist destination. She has worked in capacity of Research Assistant in CEPT Archives and Teaching Assistant in CEPT University. Prior to that she has worked in Chandigarh for two years as Project Architect on various architectural and interior projects. She has recently joined RVCA as Assistant Professor.
