Admission to B.Arch.
For admission to B. Arch course, you should have passed:
- PUC II/12th or equivalent examination with minimum of 50% in aggregate and having mathematics as one of the subjects of studies
Three years of Diploma in any stream of engineering
AND- Should have qualified in/cleared the NATA examination
Yes, as per notification of Council of Architecture, candidates with Non-Science stream (Commerce & Arts) can seek admission to B.Arch course if they have graduated from the PUC-II/12th examination with mathematics as one of their main subjects and have passed the qualifying examination with minimum 50% and have qualified in NATA.
However, Non-Science students will be considered for admission during Academic Year 2017-18 only.
- COMEDK: A single window merit based admission process conducted by Consortium of Medical Engineering & Dental Colleges in Karnataka (COMEDK).
- Management Quota: Candidates who fulfil the eligibility criteria can seek admission through management quota by approaching the Hon. Secretary, Rashtreeya Shikshana Samithi Trust.
No, you don’t have to write the pre-engineering tests conducted by CET and COMEDK, these examinations are meant for candidates who aspire for engineering courses. For admission to the B. Arch course, you need to submit your PUC/12th and NATA score cards to KEA/COMEDK on or before notified date.
COMEDK carries out admission process for member institutions. It is a merit based single window admission procedure open to candidates from all states in India including Karnataka. COMEDK provides public notification of the admission process in all leading newspapers in Karnataka. You can access the official website of COMEDK, www.comedk.org for more details.
However, the possibility of getting a seat in RVCA will depend entirely on your COMEDK rank.

Admission to M.Arch. (Urban Design)
- Have B. Arch degree from a recognised university with minimum 50% marks.
- Should have qualified PGCET conducted by KEA or have a valid GATE score

RVCA Hostels
All rooms are designed for triple-sharing accommodation. Since accommodation is limited, rooms are allotted on first-come-first-serve basis.
Priority is given to students from out of station; local students may be considered only after meeting the requirements of students from out of station.
All students are expected to return to their respective hostels latest by 8.30 pm.
